Benicio Del Toro and Zoe Saldana are joining forces with Momento Latino and SOMOS Community Care for a COVID-19 vaccine video campaign to address misinformation about the vaccines. In a campaign video released Tuesday called “The Truth: Vaccinations,” Saldana and Del Toro speak with Benicio’s brother, Dr. Gustavo Del Toro — who is chief medical officer at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn — about the vaccines and engage in discussions about whether the vaccines are effective, the side effects, the vaccination process and deciphering which vaccine is better. They also address conspiracies such as whether the vaccines will change DNA and question whether anyone can still get COVID-19 even after being vaccinated.
