Saldaña signed on as an executive producer of It’s Complicated, a short drama about a Palestinian-American screenwriter whose online Arabic lessons lead to a friendship with a teacher in Gaza. The film, written by and starring Iman Karram, was scheduled to premiere at the HollyShorts Film Festival in August.
